ABOUT COMPANY |
|
|
Mekhanobr-Tekhnika encompasses the entire machine-building complex of the
Mekhanobr Institute. In 1920, when the oldest in Russia institute of mining
and concentrating profile was founded, the designers of Mekhanobr began
by developing the simplest machines for concentrating coal and shale. Today
Mekhanobr-Tekhnika enjoys the reputation of a producer of basically new
crushing, grinding, classifying, and concentrating equipment.
Underlying the current activities of the Company are the experience of
the past decades, a considerable scientific and engineering potential, and
traditional business links with the largest machine-building enterprises
that still regard Mekhanobr as a leader in the domain of creating crushing,
grinding, and concentrating equipment.
The advance made so far in the field of basically new technologies of
disintegration, classification, and separation has enabled the Company to
create a series of unique machines: efficient jaw and cone crushers, highly
productive screens, including some fine screening units, electromagnetic
and electrostatic separators, a wide range of laboratory devices and installations.
Taken together they form the core of the Company's merchandise both in the
form of finished items and intellectual products, i.e. licenses for their
production.
The use of original machines has made it possible to create a series
of efficient technologies for processing solid industrial wastes, as well
as to start production of construction materials.
A specific feature of the Company's performance is the creation and delivery
to customers of complete technological lines based on its own equipment.
In August 2000, Mekhanobr-Tekhnika was
accredited as a scientific organization with an issue of a State Certificate.
Since 2001 it has been on the list of scientific institutions under the
tutorship of the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation. |
The long-standing business partnership with the national machine-building enterprises
whose principle nomenclature of mineral concentration equipment is largely based
on the Mekhanobr's developments has led to yet another aspect of the Company's
activities: providing technical assistance in modernizing the equipment and making
it operated more rationally at mining and concentrating plants of the CIS states.
Mekhanobr-Tekhnika has its own machine-building plant - Mekhanobr-L. The licensed
manufacture of Mekhanobr-Technika's equipment is carried out in Japan, as well
as in China within the framework of the Cino KID Joint Venture.
The equipment manufactured by Mekhanobr-Tekhnika is supplied to both the CIS
states and overseas countries (Australia, Austria, the USA, France, Italy, Japan,
South Africa, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Finland, Bulgaria, etc.)

| A LITTLE OF HISTORY |
| |
 |
| |
Back in 1916, a pilot plant for
mechanical processing of mineral raw materials was set up on the campus of
the St. Petersburg Mining Institute. Along with it a small private company
was formed to become later, in 1920, the basis of Mekhanobr, the State Institute
for Mechanical Processing of Minerals.
Mekhanobr was the first Russian engineering company that was to develop technologies
for concentrating mineral raw materials of various kinds, manufacture equipment
for respective technological processes, and design mining and concentrating
complexes.
The first concentrators designed by Mekhanobr were fitted up with entirely
imported equipment. However, as early as in the 1920s, the Mekhanobr’s workshops
started manufacture of the first specimens of laboratory and pilot plant machinery
of their own design.
In 1933, a nomenclature was drawn up listing items of equipment to be domestically
produced, and Mekhanobr was assigned to design them.
From that time the intensive development of the Mekhanobr's machine-building
complex began that culminated in the creation of a wide choice of mineral concentrating
equipment ranging from laboratory to full-scale units.
|
The raw mineral processing equipment
developed by Mekhanobr is manufactured at the largest machine-building plants
of Russia and employed by practically all of the mining and concentrating
operations in the CIS states.
In 1990-91, the scientific division of the Mekhanobr Institute and the Mekhanobr
Construction and Design Bureau joined their machine-building facilities to
form JSC Mekhanobr-Tekhnika which inherited the intellectual potential accumulated
by several generations of Mekhanobr's researchers and designers that had been
creating machinery for processing and concentrating minerals.
Striving to keep up with the times Mekhanobr-Tekhnika has been dealing not
only with natural raw materials, but also with products of
our civilization, i.e. technogenic materials, such as solid industrial
wastes, converting them into new valuable products.
The project "Vibrational Technique
- Its Scientific Basis, Development, Full-Scale Production, and Wide Application
in the National Economy" has won the 1998 Prize of the Government of
Russia in the field of science and technology. |
